FAIRFAX, Va. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded two re-compete contracts with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to provide support to the National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR) and the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP). The contracts, which were awarded in the third quarter of 2013, have a combined value of $10.2 million.
Specifically, ICF won a contract with the CDC Cancer Surveillance Branch for the maintenance and enhancement of functions of the NPCR Cancer Surveillance System, which include collecting, processing, evaluating, analyzing, and disseminating cancer incidence data from NPCR-funded states. The contract has a value of $8 million with a one year base period and three option years. In addition, ICF won a contract with the CDC NCCDPHP to provide support in expanding the data collection infrastructure of the NPCR for Patient Centered Outcomes. The contract has a value of $2.2 million and a period of 18 months.
Under these contracts, ICF will continue to provide valuable support to the CDC and the NPCR in enhancing data collection to include supporting states in conducting active follow-up, which is important in ensuring more complete information on a cancer patient’s progression, recurrence, and vital status.
“ICF is very proud to have supported the CDC’s NPCR for over 12 years,” said Don McMaster, vice president for ICF International. “We look forward to continued support of the CDC and NPCR.”
