MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Symphony Teleca Corporation (STC), a global innovation and development services company, today announced that John Kahan, General Manager, Data and Analytics at Microsoft, has joined its Board of Directors. Kahan becomes the second addition to STC’s board this year, following Ash Gupta, Chief Risk Officer and President, Risk and Information Management, American Express Company.

Kahan currently reports to the CMO of Microsoft and after more than a decade at the company has overseen many different aspects of the company’s data and analytics efforts, including the platform that supports Bing, Microsoft Advertising and MSN.
Kahan joined Microsoft from IBM, where he spent more than 18 years in international marketing and sales, serving as Director of Global Direct Marketing then Vice President of Integrated Marketing Communications for Sales and Distribution, leading IBM’s customer-facing marketing and branding programs around the globe.
Kahan earned his bachelor’s degree in computer sciences and mathematics at the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA in international business and finance at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
