SOMERSET, N.J. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Laser Light Solutions, Inc. (LLS), a world leader in forensics laser solutions, announced today the commercial release of the BrightBeam-DualTM Forensics Laser System, the world’s highest power, dual wavelength, portable forensics laser system. This versatile laser system is designed for use in a broad range of evidence gathering applications including forensics laboratory examinations and crime scene investigations. LLS has recently initiated shipments of the BrightBeam-DualTM system, and is demonstrating the cost-effective system with its extensive distribution partners at forensics conferences throughout the world.
The BrightBeam-DualTM System is a new product within the BrightBeamTM product family that includes previously released single color blue and green forensics laser systems. BrightBeamTM forensics laser systems have a strong track record of industry leading performance, and have been installed into leading US state, federal, and international forensics and crime laboratories. Recently, for example, LLS successfully completed the installation of numerous BrightBeamTM systems at one of the FBI's preeminent forensics laboratories.
The compact and portable BrightBeam-DualTM System uniquely delivers speckle-free, laser illumination of up to 8 watts of blue and 8 watts of green to match the optical absorptions required for the detection and examination fingerprints, bones, hair, body fluids, chemicals, counterfeit inks, and other evidence. The system features laser emission from a smart, hand piece controller connected to the base unit with a ruggedized armored cable. The hand-piece includes an optical zoom option to deliver the beam in both a floodlight and collimated beam configurations, and optional internal battery enables portability required for outdoor remote operation. These options provide unmatched performance and versatility superior to other forensics light sources by enabling indoor short-range applications such as high brightness, high contrast evidence photography and rapid scanning of large areas, as well as evidence detection and analysis in outdoor, large area, long-range environments.
In addition to hand piece control, the system’s base unit is also equipped with an easy to use touch screen for full intuitive control over all of the laser system parameters, along with a USB interface and graphical user interface software for easy integration and remote computer control. The BrightBeam-DualTM also features a state of the art thermal management system to provide end users highly reliable and efficient operation over a broad temperature range, as well as built in electrical and thermal safety features to protect the system and users.
