ACCA USA and Pace University Convene Symposium to Address Global Cybercrime Epidemic, Unveil Groundbreaking Research on Skimmer Scams

NEW YORK -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Amid increasing threats facing cyber security across the globe, ACCA USA, the US arm of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and Pace University will convene its second annual cybercrime symposium and panel discussion on Thursday, February 13, 2014.

The event, “Cybercrime in the World Today 2014,” will bring together several hundred business and law enforcement professionals, academics, students and members of the public.

Joining moderator Jonathan Hill, Associate Dean and Director of Special Programs and Projects at Pace University, will be: Vincent Tophoff, Senior Technical Manager, International Federation of Accountants; Charles F. Gilgen, Supervisory Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation; Carlos Hoyos, who leads IBM’s CIO Security Lab; and, Bernadette Gleason, North America eCrime Laboratory Manager at Citi.

Additionally, Pace University President Stephen Friedman and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance will deliver remarks.
