ANDOVER, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Omtool™, Ltd. (OMTL.PK), the trusted provider of document capture and workflow solutions, today announced they will showcase their newly enhanced, document workflow solutions, highlight their services, and introduce their recent partnership with Samsung at the annual LegalTech® Conference in New York. Some of the new product enhancements to be featured include mobile capture, scanning to cloud-based repositories and support for Samsung MFP-based products. These new features will enable Omtool clients to expand their document workflows beyond their DMS and integrate with virtually any business application to automate document processes company-wide.
The document capture market has matured to a point where enterprise scanning has become a mission-critical application in the legal market. At the same time, there is a large focus on mobile users and cloud-based applications. With hundreds of law firms as clients, Omtool was driven to support their client’s changing environments. As a result, Omtool recently announced enhancements to its AccuRoute® platform with AccuRoute version 4.1.
AccuRoute v4.1 now delivers AccuRoute Mobile to expand AccuRoute’s capture and fax capabilities beyond the corporate infrastructure and deliver it to field-based employees and mobile workers. In addition, this new release supports scanning to cloud-based repositories such as Dropbox as well as cloud-based fax solutions.
Further displaying Omtool’s ability to provide the latest technologies and multi-vendor support to their clients, last week, Omtool announced its partnership with Samsung Electronics America, Inc. Omtool and Samsung’s joint solutions leverage Omtool’s document capture and workflow capabilities with Samsung scan-enabled devices and Android-powered mobile devices to provide law firms with advanced document capture and workflow capabilities directly from the main control panel of a Samsung network-enabled device.
As business environments expand and evolve, many of Omtool’s clients are looking to the company to meet their ever-changing technology requirements. Omtool now offers assessment services that are designed to evaluate a clients’ current document processing environment and ensure their technical architecture and configuration meets their evolving business needs and growth or consolidation efforts. One of Omtool’s legal clients, O’Melveny & Myers LLP, leveraged Omtool’s Technical Architecture Assessment Program and vastly improved not only their infrastructure, but also their ease of use for their entire organization across multiple offices.
"O'Melveny & Myers has been leveraging Omtool's AccuRoute document capture for many years and across all of our regional offices. As part of our IT infrastructure consolidation, we worked with Omtool to evaluate our current usage and business processes to design our centralized architecture. Based on their technical assessment and evaluation, we were able to create a document capture infrastructure accessible to all of O'Melveny & Myers while consolidating the number of servers required and centralizing the management of this critical information system. Working with Omtool collaboratively to achieve our desired redesign of the system should improve even further our ability to service our internal client demand for document processing," said Kelly Rogers, Senior Project Manager, O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
Omtool will be presenting these new features and services in booth #300 at the annual LegalTech Conference in New York, February 4th-6th, 2014. If interested in seeing a product demo during the conference, Omtool may be contacted at: http://go.omtool.com/LegalTech14
