TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ability Dynamics, manufacturer of RUSH87 and RUSH81 prosthetic feet and challenger to the legacy prosthetic foot industry, is pleased to announce a new hire within the company.
Steve Sherman joins Ability Dynamics as Vice President of sales with over 20 years' experience in the prosthetics industry. Mr. Sherman was instrumental previously in the introduction and growth of both the Flex-Foot and Freedom Innovations prosthetic feet.
"New technologies in design and composite materials are replacing legacy prosthetic products for very good reasons. In terms of patient comfort and satisfaction; the RUSH line of feet are really making a difference in amputee's lives by reducing socket issues and improving gait alignment for more natural walking and mobility experiences. These innovations in prosthetic foot components are no less powerful than what the industry experienced many decades ago during the transition from wood and leather components to the current status quo of carbon fiber used in many prosthetic feet. This is an exciting time for the prosthetic industry and for amputees", said Mr. Sherman.
Mr. Sherman will lead national sales efforts in expanding sales in North America and the Company's expansion into worldwide markets.
According to Blount Swain, President of Ability Dynamics; "prosthetists are looking for ways to enhance patient outcomes in a manner that is efficient for their business. As we continue to grow with new products in additional mobility ranges, we will provide practices with even more ways to enhance mobility for patients. Steve Sherman has demonstrated his commitment to the prosthetist community for many years and is dedicated to helping practitioners differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market. We hope that the community will join us in welcoming Steve in his new leadership role."
