BURLINGTON, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NEACH, the New England Automated Clearing House Association, today announced the agenda and speakers for the 2014 Payment Management Conference, to be held May 21st and 22nd at the Framingham Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center.
This year’s conference theme, Navigating the New Payments Space, will be explored in three learning tracks: Risk & Compliance, Payments Opportunities, and Operations. Each track devotes six (6) concurrent sessions to drill down into important aspects of what’s taking place today, the outlook for the future, and why this is important to financial institutions.
Risk & Compliance sessions will provide attendees with an understanding of what regulators are expecting, highlight vulnerabilities in sound business practices, and suggest ways to combat threats.
Payments Opportunities sessions will offer fresh ideas being vetted in the industry and consider opportunities in traditional services. Sessions include trends in retail payments usage, commercial payables services, and using payments data to develop new opportunities.
Payments Operations sessions will address operational efficiency by focusing on topics that range from practical applications to developing issues. Most sessions in this track will take a real-world look at what’s worked and what hasn’t in ACH operations.
“The new payments space dictates that payments professionals contend with a multitude of issues in different disciplines,” said Linda O’Hara, CEO of NEACH. “This year we are combining topics under a single conference umbrella so that members can select from a menu of opportunity, risk, and operations topics.”
Other conference highpoints include general session panel discussions, a recognition breakfast for Accredited ACH Professionals (AAPs), and a reception with exhibitors. Richard Oliver, one of the nation’s foremost retail payments experts, will close out the conference with a presentation on Planning for the Future of Payments: Clarity Amid the Chaos.
“We are excited to be offering such a broad program in a single venue,” added NEACH vice president Breffni McGuire. ”This year’s event brings together financial institutions and the right payments experts to discuss, plan, and act upon the future of payments.”
