ASHBURN, Va. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Technology, innovation and cybersecurity veteran Richard Robinson has joined Telos Corporation as the company’s new director of innovation.
In his new role, Mr. Robinson is responsible for coordinating, facilitating and managing the company’s innovation process and will develop internal programs to extract and share innovative ideas throughout the company. He will identify new strategies, business opportunities and technologies, developing new capabilities and architectures and conducting research to support foundational improvements in the company’s ability to address current and future markets.

Mr. Robinson comes most recently from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As chief information officer he spearheaded the development and implementation of an open innovation framework, an identity management and authentication architecture for collaboration, integration of cybersecurity R&D and operations, and predictive and behavioral modeling tools for cybersecurity.
He previously held senior information technology management roles for a variety of public and private enterprises. Mr. Robinson is co-founder and chief technologist for the non-profit Gov2020 Institute, whose mission is to enable the support, development and advancement of partnerships between the public and private sectors and the application of open innovation principles. Mr. Robinson holds a bachelor of science in engineering from California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo and numerous technical and management certifications.
