Goodwin has stepped down from his post as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 31, 2014, in order to pursue other opportunities. Naohiro Fujitani, President and Chief Executive Officer of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., has been appointed to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc., reporting to the Medical Systems Business Division, FUJIFILM Corporation. In addition to his new role with FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc., Mr. Fujitani will also continue to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.
Mr. Fujitani has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. since April 1, 2010. FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. is a leading provider of medical image and information products and technologies for acquiring, processing, managing and storing diagnostic images and related data and is also a global leader in digital mammography. Mr. Fujitani strongly intends to apply his experience and accomplishments – including the planning and introduction of a variety of innovative new products and businesses – in his new role at FUJIFILM SonoSite to achieve the goal of an expansion of the ultrasound medical systems business.
