(PIT), one of the world's largest privately-owned and operated teleports and global distributor of audio and video signals, announced today a partnership with Telespazio (Finmeccanica/Thales), a leading satellite services company, to provide domestic and international space segment and teleport services.
The companies will jointly market their respective companies' offerings dedicated to the broadcasters market, including DTH platforms such as PIT's CBR service on Galaxy 19 at 97 degrees W DVB-S, and Telespazio's Hot Bird 13 degrees E DVB-S and S2 in Europe. The two companies will jointly offer their teleport services which include PIT's 50 C-band and Ku-band antennas and the Telespazio Fucino Space Center's 100 C-band and Ku-band antennas. The teleports are interconnected through fiber and IP video transport and together, will reach audiences in North and South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
