WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SimpliVity, the leader in converged infrastructure with its award-winning OmniCube platform, today announced the appointment of Marianne Budnik as chief marketing officer (CMO). Marianne will lead SimpliVity’s global marketing initiatives and will report directly to Doron Kempel, chairman and chief executive officer.

Previously, Budnik was the chief marketing officer at Acme Packet Inc., where she drove the organization’s overall marketing strategy, integrated marketing initiatives and product line management organization, through the company’s acquisition by Oracle in 2013 for $2.1 billion.
Prior to Acme Packet, Budnik served as chief marketing officer and senior vice president at CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA), where she was responsible for CA’s marketing strategy, including corporate marketing, field marketing and product marketing initiatives. In addition, she has held a series of leadership positions within EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC), including vice president, global field marketing and programs, heading the EMC Marketing Operations and Strategic Planning Organization, and director of software product marketing. Marianne holds an MBA from Boston University and earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College.
