The Stadium of Fire is the nation’s largest Fourth of July event, and has quickly become an American tradition. The event boasts the largest stadium fireworks show in the country and is headlined by some of the biggest names in the music industry. Carrie Underwood is set to return for the second time in the event’s 34 year run. 50,000 people will be in attendance to watch her perform, as well as comedy troupe Studio C. US Army Hero and Dancing with the Stars winner J.R. Martinez will host the event, which is also broadcast internationally to American Forces TV in honor of America’s troops. "We're thrilled to have Carrie Underwood headline this summer's Stadium of Fire," said Paul Warner, executive director of America's Freedom Festival, which organizes and sponsors the event. "We're also excited to invite an up-and-coming musician or band to the show. The Gigg Stadium of Fire Talent Competition provides our audience with a fun introduction to some great talent they may not have heard yet."

Bands and artists can enter the opener competition by uploading a video performance onto the contest page before May 9th. The performance can be of any cover, mashup, or an original work. To enter the national anthem competition, the artist will need to upload a video performance onto the contest page before June 6th. The performance video can be sung in any key, but the 23rd Army Band will be performing in the key B flat, so it’s important that the artist is able to sing comfortably in that key. For either competition, once uploaded, fans can begin voting on your video to determine your seeding in the competition. Only the top rated videos will make it into each tournament bracket. After the submission periods close, the bracket-style voting begins. The voting rounds will last over a period of two days.

Each bracket winner of the opener contest will receive a $500 cash prize, and will compete in a Final Four live event attended by fans, Gigg, and the Stadium of Fire judges. The winner of the final four will perform on the same stage as Carrie Underwood to an audience of 50,000 people, as well as receive a $2500 cash prize. In addition to performing the Star-Spangled Banner in front of 50,000 people alongside the internationally distinguished Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band, the winner of the national anthem competition will also receive a $500 cash prize.
