Hope LoanPort® Names Industry Information Security Expert as New Director

BALTIMORE -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Hope LoanPort (HLP), the 501(c)(3) neutral, national, non-profit web technology today announced the addition of Louann Bernstone to their executive team. Bernstone joins HLP in the newly created role of Director of Vendor Management, Risk, and Compliance.

Bernstone brings to HLP over a decade of leadership in technology and risk management within mortgage banking. She most recently worked with Bank of America assisting the efforts of their Legacy Asset Servicing Line of Business to become compliant with the rest of the organizations’ Vendor Management Program. She had previously served in the capacity of Business Control Executive and drove the risk program for Global Technology and Operations where she ensured that the Bank’s Enhanced Risk Control Framework (COBIT mapping) was executed within her lines of technology.

Bernstone previously received her Design for Six Sigma and Greenbelt Certification for the development of a Supplier Management Playbook for Global Technology and Operations. Louann was awarded the Bank’s Award of Excellence for her work in the Supplier Management Space. She is currently completing her CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Certification.

With HLP, Bernstone will lead the development of HLP’s information security and compliance infrastructure. This includes internal efforts to ensure current policies and procedures comply with Federal Financial Institution Examination Council (FFIEC) requirements and measure compliance efforts through the documenting of key risk indicators and test scripts. Additionally, Bernstone will develop enhanced internal testing on these policies and procedures.

Bernstone will also take the lead on HLP’s mortgage servicer audits which are a critical component of HLP’s compliance and information security culture. HLP aligns to these industry standards and self-evaluates against those standards.
