CUPERTINO, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SugarCRM Inc., the company that enables businesses to create extraordinary customer relationships with the most innovative and affordable CRM solution in the market, today announced its participation in SVForum's Launch: Silicon Valley World Cup Tech Challenge, held May 20 at the Microsoft campus in Mountain View. SugarCRM, an SVForum alumnus, is sponsoring the Enterprise Software group at the event, and will serve as moderator of the judges’ panel charged with reviewing six enterprise software startups.
Launch: Silicon Valley has established itself as the premier launch platform for startups from around the world. Each year, these startups vie for recognition as most likely to succeed in one of five technology categories at the World Cup Tech Challenge. After their four-minute pitches and short Q&A sessions, a winner will be selected based on points awarded from judges, as well as votes from the audience and online voters.
This year, SugarCRM will serve as moderator of the judges reviewing the entrants in the enterprise software group. SugarCRM’s participation brings the company full circle: The SVForum was integral to SugarCRM's own initial successful launch, having helped the company find financial and legal sponsors in the early days. Now, 10 years later, SugarCRM is redefining CRM with its focus on empowering the individual at every level of an organization to better engage customers. Eighteen consecutive quarters of growth, 785 new customers, and traction with top ISVs and market leaders are certainly evidence of its success in this endeavor.
“It's an honor to contribute to Launch: Silicon Valley with our sponsorship and close evaluation of some of the world's best new companies,” said Clint Oram, chief technology officer and SugarCRM co-founder. “This event truly is the perfect platform for startups to showcase their products and gain well-deserved attention from the technology and VC communities.”
Judging of startups in the Enterprise Software group will take place May 20 at 8:45 a.m. on the Microsoft campus in Mountain View. For additional information about SVForum's Launch: Silicon Valley or to register, please visit the Launch: Silicon Valley website.
