It exposes three key trends for B2B marketers:
1. Marketing's responsibilities are growing to include the ownership of technology to provide better access to information. In new areas, like mobile, it reports that up to 70% of marketers are directly or indirectly involved in selection and management of tools.
2. Organizations are restructuring around content marketing to support research-focused buyers and that 84% of marketers are reporting healthy to critical grown of access from mobile devices.
3. There is still a dependence on old formats for content, as marketers lean on existing tools and skills. Many still rely on PDF with 89% of marketers distributing content in that format.
"Our research underlines the idea that content is becoming the critical resource for marketers, with mobile overtaking all other access methods", said Paul Danter, VP of Marketing for Genwi.
