ROCKVILLE, Md. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ultra Electronics, 3eTI, a leading provider of military-grade, cyber- secure network solutions for critical information systems, infrastructure and industrial automation, today announced that cyber security expert Mark Benedict has joined the company in the new position of Vice President for Marketing. Mr. Benedict, the latest in a series of strategic executive hires, will lead 3eTI sales programs and business development to deliver peak value in addressing threats to critical networks and mission infrastructure.
Before joining 3eTI, Mr. Benedict was Deputy Chief for Space, Weapons and National Reconnaissance at the NSA Information Assurance Directorate’s Engineering Group, where he served as the senior Army colonel. His 25 years of experience will benefit new and existing contracts through a unique blend of expertise in budget management, operational leadership, and systems engineering for highly complex and critical security networks.

Mr. Benedict's accomplishments include leadership roles with the US Army as Director of the European Army Theater Network Operations and Security Center, Chief Technology Officer for Headquarters, European Combatant Command, and combat leadership roles with Army aviation units. His work in private industry includes management roles in technology and sales for Enterasys Networks, Global Management Systems Inc., ACS Defense, and Wyle CAS Group. Mr. Benedict is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) and holds numerous Microsoft professional certifications. He earned a Master of Science degree in National Strategy from the National War College in 2010.
