FREMONT, Calif., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- dB Control, a defense electronics manufacturer, was awarded a large contract by a major Asian military customer to design and manufacture high-power traveling wave tube (TWT) transmitters for an airborne program. Terms of the contract prohibit dB Control from naming the customer and product specifications.
"Our custom high-power TWT transmitters allow for quick, accurate detection and jamming of potential threats - an absolute must when lives are on the line," said dB Control Vice President of Business Development Steve Walley. "That's one of many reasons why the US Government and its foreign allies have contracted with us for more than two decades."
dB Control's high-power TWT transmitters and amplifiers are designed to meet the Asian military customer's stringent specifications for power, bandwidth, size and weight. The contract includes ongoing engineering, technical, logistical and data support services that will be provided from dB Control's Fremont, Calif. facilities.
