ORLANDO, Fla. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global IT systems integrator, is proud to announce that Clarence Pape, vice president of Training and Simulation at ID, has been named to the Camaraderie Foundation’s board of directors. ID is committed to serving the veteran community through organizations like the Camaraderie Foundation, which assists military service members, veterans and their families through counseling and encouragement.

“Our veterans risk their lives to keep our nation and our families safe. However, upon returning from combat, they face many challenges, often with little support. The Camaraderie Foundation offers much-needed assistance and I look forward to expanding the Foundation’s impact as a member of the board of directors,” said Clarence Pape, vice president of Training and Simulation, Intelligent Decisions. “Helping those who serve and protect us is an important cause to me personally and to ID as a company.”

As a member of the board of directors, Mr. Pape will advise the Foundation as it expands into Jacksonville and Tampa and adds to its offerings for veterans. The board of directors drives the Foundation’s efforts to help veterans and their family members as they transition back to civilian life through counseling and emotional and spiritual support. These programs reduce the impact of challenges returning military service members often face, including post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

“Intelligent Decisions has been a staunch supporter of the Foundation over the years and I am excited that Clarence is joining the board of directors. Clarence is a highly respected member of the Orlando community and his vision and guidance will help us better meet our mission to serve the veterans and families who have given so much to protect our country,” said retired Army Colonel Lee Barnes, a director of the Camaraderie Foundation.

Intelligent Decisions has supported the Camaraderie Foundation since 2012. In 2013, ID held the Second Annual Lake Nona Golf Tournament, raising $40,000 to benefit the Camaraderie Foundation and Orlando veterans’ community. The company is proud to serve the veteran community and their family members whenever possible.
