DUBLIN -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Amartus, a developer of dynamic programmable multi-vendor service orchestration and management software solutions for IT & communications, today announced its participation in the inaugural Big Telecom Event (BTE) to include demonstrations of new cloud service orchestration capabilities and participation in a panel session by the company’s CEO and founder Michael Kearns.

The Big Telecom Event (BTE) will take place June 17-18 in Chicago. On Tuesday, June 17, from 3:45 to 4:40, Kearns will participate on a panel entitled “Carrier Ethernet & the Cloud.” The panel will look at the need for Carrier Ethernet services to evolve rapidly to support flexible bandwidth models, and will discuss the essential changes in infrastructure needed to ensure that services can be provisioned on demand for higher customer satisfaction and earlier income recognition.

Amartus will also exhibit at the show, and demonstrate how its Chameleon SDS™ multi-vendor software-defined services (SDS) orchestration platform can support end-to-end services across OpenStack in the cloud and the WAN.

Chameleon SDS is built on the company’s unique dynamic programmable Chameleon OS platform. It enables service providers to deliver elastic, on-demand network services over layer two, layer three, NFV, SDN and cloud networks, shorten the time needed to design new services, and automate service provisioning and operation so they can be turned up in a matter of minutes.

“We are very much looking forward to the Big Telecom Event,” said Kearns. “This unique gathering of top industry professionals will be a valuable venue for learning about and sharing the latest technology advances that are re-defining the telecom world.”

Amartus partner, Transition Networks, will also be exhibiting at the show and will demonstrate its Converge™ EMS platform a MEF Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0, integrated service aware manager – built on Chameleon SDS.

Joining Kearns on the Carrier Ethernet & the Cloud panel will be: Tom Savard, Vice President, Product & Technology Development for Transition Networks; Mark Durrett, Vice President, Corporate Communications & Market Strategy for Overture Networks; Adam Saenger, Vice President of Portfolio Management for TW Telecom; and Ricardo Torres, Director of Product Marketing for VeEX. Carol Wilson, Editor-at-Large for Light Reading, will moderate.

BTE is hosted by Light Reading and brings together experts in key telecom industry segments for best-in-class presentations and demonstrations of the latest networking technologies, applications and business services, including: the carrier cloud, Ethernet, SDN, NFV, telco data centers, packet-optical transport, mobile backhaul, security, 4G, small cells, IT, content management and much more.
