NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New Hampshire music educator Catherine Dwinal wasted no time making an impact in the world of music education when she entered it just four years ago. By harnessing the power of technology to teach music and then generously sharing that knowledge with other educators, Catherine - Catie to her colleagues and friends - quickly became a well-known voice in the music education and technology world. Building on this strong foundation in the classroom and community, Catie is now taking her knowledge and experience in an exciting new direction. The team is happy to announce Catie Dwinal will be joining the company as Key Account Representative to the Northeast United States, where she'll share the high-tech resources in Quaver's family of programs with teachers in classrooms much like her own.

Catie has been teaching in the same schools she attended as a student - New Hampshire's Laconia School District. She's learned firsthand what it takes to run an engaging music classroom, and brought great value to her fellow teachers by assisting them in technology integration and training.

"We first met Catie online. I heard other music educators in Florida, Texas and even Nova Scotia mention, 'this great blog, or a wonderful tech workshop by this teacher from New Hampshire,' and realized they were talking about Catie, too. It wasn't long before we asked her to serve on our Quaver Advisory Council," says Steve Gilreath, VP/Marketing for Quaver. "We've always been honored to have a tech-savvy teacher like Catie be so engaged with our programs and mention Quaver as a key component in her teaching success." In 2014, Catie was named Teacher of the Year by TI:ME (Technology in Music Education) for her enthusiasm and proficiency in technology integration in the music classroom.

It's no surprise then, that Catie was an early adopter of the technological innovations from Quaver's Marvelous World of Music. She began using the free website at with her students in 2011, and eventually adopted the entire Quaver QK-5 Curriculum as the backbone of her teaching resources. A tireless learner and creative spirit, Catie was constantly looking for new ways to reach her students, and found Quaver's resources to be a perfect fit for her teaching style. As she leaves the classroom to join the Quaver team officially, Catie brings energy and enthusiasm for helping bridge the technology gap, making technology less intimidating and more accessible to teachers in today's music classroom.

"Quaver Music completely changed my way of teaching for the better, and I am excited to be able to share how Quaver can excite, refresh and engage music classrooms all over the Northeast!" Catie says.

The Quaver Team is thrilled to bring Catie on board. Her expertise in technology and energy for making teacher's lives easier are in perfect tune with the Quaver spirit and vision.
