Matthew Mendis to Lead Nexant Government Services Team

SAN FRANCISCO & WASHINGTON -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Nexant announced today that Matthew S. Mendis, an international energy, environmental, and finance expert, has joined the company as head of Government Services.

Mendis has dedicated his career to working on the development and financing of clean energy projects globally. Over the past 35 years, he has worked in more than 45 developing countries around the world on behalf of The World Bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and a number of multilateral development agencies and private-sector development firms.

Mendis previously served as a Senior Technical Advisor to Energy and Security Group, Inc.; Director of International Development at Panel Claw; co-founder and Managing Director of C-Quest Capital LLC; Corporate Vice President and Director, Energy and Environmental Management Division, International Resources Group; and Program Manager, The World Bank/UNDP Energy Sector Management Program. He currently chairs the Board of Trustees of Global Village Energy Partnership International and serves as a Trustee of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation. Mendis holds an M.A. in natural resource economics and a B.Sc. in environmental engineering from the University of Maryland (College Park).
