SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), the flash storage solutions company, today announced that Kristin Carnes, director of worldwide channel sales, has been named to the 2014 CRN Women of the Channel, as well as the Power 100. The Women of the Channel is an annual list highlighting the accomplishments of female executives within vendor, distribution, and solution provider organizations, and the impact they are having on the advancement of the IT channel industry as a whole. This is the second consecutive year Carnes has been named to the Women of the Channel. Each year an elite set of women are also named to CRN's Power 100 listing, which selects honorees based on achievements over the past year and how they've impacted the industry.
Carnes has more than sixteen years of experience in the channel and has been instrumental in expanding Nimble's distribution strategy into new regions, such as Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and throughout EMEA. Under Kristin's direction, Nimble launched a two-tier distribution model in North America, successfully transitioning 100 percent of all resellers to purchase through distribution. Additionally, Carnes led the effort to launch the Nimble Sales Professional (NSP) program, a self-paced, online course available to all resellers that is free-of-charge. To date, 1,200 individuals have been certified through the program. Carnes plans to broaden Nimble's presence by expanding its distribution footprint in EMEA and deepening existing relationships with valued alliance partners, including Citrix, Oracle, CommVault, Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco.
