SAN FRANCISCO, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SDN has shaken up the enterprise data center, and promises to disrupt both traditional network operations and the networking market, but is SDN production-ready? To explore SDN's potential, Interop New York is seeking vendors to participate in an onsite SDN Lab, a comprehensive lab environment to test how well a variety of SDN hardware and software work together. Brought to you by InteropNet, the heterogeneous, volunteer-run network built from the ground-up for Interop Las Vegas, the lab will hold demonstrations for Interop attendees on October 1 and 2.
The InteropNet team and partner vendors will build a complete network infrastructure to test the interoperability of software-defined hardware, software and applications. The lab will model key SDN concepts including automated integration of applications and network resources using controllers and APIs. InteropNet engineers welcome both proprietary and open-source products.
The deadline to submit proposals for this one-of-a-kind project is 5:00pm PT on Friday, July 11. More information and the RFP for vendor participation is available at: http://bit.ly/INY14SDNLab
