SHIP BOTTOM, N.J., July 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- This July 4(th) weekend, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce (SOCCOC) will launch a new and more "easy to use" website for people interested in visiting the Long Beach Island region. To keep pace with the quickly changing demands of visitors and how they research locations and activities, www.visitLBIRegion.com will have attributes the old site did not have and be tourism friendly but remain a business portal to the area.
"Over the last six years, there has been many advancements in web design and how people get their information since the first site was launched," said Lori Pepenella, Director of Destination Marketing and Communications for SOCCOC.
Www.visitLBIRegion.com was created in 2008 and won a NJ Governor Tourism Award for Excellence given it was designed at the dawn of social media and mobile market, but quick advancements in technology and how people access information requires businesses to evaluate their information portals sooner.
The new responsive site will be "mobile minded" and provide up-to-date events, photos and vacation planning information. It will also tie in active social media components, featured calendar of events, economic development and business news updates, members news, visitor information, Google Maps, dynamic videos created for the site and real time links to the SOCCOC and WBNJ 91.9 Weekly Radio Show LBI Region Report.
To get more information on SOCCOC or the new website, please contact Lori Pepenella at 609-494-7211 or email@example.com.
