WASHINGTON, July 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton's PAC and Super PAC have raised over $2.3 million in the 2(nd) quarter with a record $4 million to date, and nearly $3 million cash on hand. The Ambassador is committed to ensuring that American security is a central factor in the 2014 midterm elections and that candidates who believe in policies focused on a free and secure America receive the support needed to win their respective House or Senate races.
Over the past nine months the Ambassador has received over 20,000 donations from individuals in all 50 states signifying widespread support. Moreover, the average online and direct mail donation is under $60 and the Ambassador communicates through an expansive social media presence including over 60,000 Facebook fans and more than 130,000 Twitter followers.
"Given the Obama administration's recent national security missteps regarding Israel, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Ukraine and elsewhere, the American people need to know that our national interests are facing grave threats with inadequate leadership in Washington," Ambassador Bolton said. "Clearly, it is now critical to identify and support candidates for office who have the courage, leadership, and commitment to secure America's interests overseas."
The John Bolton PAC has already contributed to U.S. Senate candidates Tom Cotton (AR), Joni Ernst (IA), Terri Lynn Land (MI), and Mitch McConnell (KY), along with U.S. House of Representatives candidates Martha McSally (AZ-2), Barbara Comstock (VA-10), Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), Robert Dold (Il-10), and Mike Pompeo (KA-4).
The PAC has nearly $400K cash on hand and expects to increase significantly its direct contributions to national-security candidates in the coming quarter. The Super PAC, with over $2.5 million cash on hand, is readying its initial candidate-related independent expenditures, and will commence these efforts very shortly.
