LOS ALTOS, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Box today announced two new integrations with Office 365 to power productivity for companies leveraging Box’s cloud content platform and Microsoft’s suite of Office applications. Additionally, the company is removing storage limits for all customers of its Business plan. The new integrations and uncapped storage will enable businesses to do more with their information and boost collaboration across their entire organization.
“The competition for business customers will no longer be about how much information a solution enables them to store, but rather, what it allows them to do with that information,” said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO, Box. “Our deep integrations into the Office 365 suite expand our commitment of building capabilities that make content stored on our platform more valuable, information more powerful, and companies of all sizes more connected.”
Since 2010, Box has offered unlimited storage to customers of its Enterprise plan, and today the company is taking storage limits off the table for current and future Business customers as well. Companies like GE, P&G, Toyota, Gap, Nationwide Insurance and 39,000 other organizations have chosen Box to power information sharing and collaboration. Removing storage as a consideration enables organizations to focus on business value and more seamlessly roll Box out organization-wide.
As businesses transition from an era of buying from a single technology vendor to adopting best-of-breed solutions, it’s critical that these services work together. The new lineup of integrations makes it easier than ever for joint Microsoft Office 365 and Box customers like Informatica and Florida Virtual School to securely share, edit, collaborate and manage their documents internally and with external business partners.
Box is also working with AvePoint, Inc., a leader in enterprise-class management, governance, and compliance software solutions for next-generation social collaboration platforms, to connect and centralize content for Box and SharePoint customers. DocAve Cloud Connect provides Box and SharePoint users with a cross platform experience, enabling businesses with existing Box and SharePoint implementations to synchronize, search, edit, and share content, without having duplicate copies of the data sitting on each platform.
