SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - July 22, 2014) - Document Capture Technologies (DCT), a leader in mobile capture devices and innovative productivity solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the SimpleECM Invoice Processing API. This is the newest addition to the SimpleECM API Platform for document management, providing developers the ability to easily integrate invoice data into accounting, ERP and point of sale systems.

Using the SimpleECM Platform, developers will delight in leveraging the familiar technologies of JavaScript and REST APIs to create business workflows that capture invoices, extract data and route the information to popular applications. SimpleECM opens the door to enable these productivity-enhancing workflows to the millions of SMBs who have traditionally not invested in more complex ECM systems.

"The invoice processing API provides the core functionality for two key business workflows, AP automation and inventory management automation," said Karl Etzel, President and CEO, DCT. "The productivity gains are enormous when businesses automate processes around the data trapped in PDF and paper documents."

Other recent SimpleECM announcements include the addition of the Salesforce.com API to the platform and the Mobile SDK that provides developers a simplified tool to incorporate document capture functionality into their iOS, Android, and Kindle apps.
