CHICAGO, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on reviews from HR professionals, the inaugural Grid(SM) report for Core HR software, announced today by business software review site G2 Crowd, ranks six products to help HR software buyers in their selections.
The Grid(SM), G2 Crowd's software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor market presence determined from social and public data to rank products.
Core HR software automates the systems and processes of organization management, expense management, salary structures, benefit administration and time management. These systems are primarily used to manage the essential elements of each employee's records. HR professionals benefit from Core HR software systems, as it gives them the ability to manage and engage employees at scale.
To qualify as a Leader, a product must receive a high customer satisfaction score and have substantial market presence. UltiPro, Workday and PeopleSoft were named Leaders, with BambooHR named a High Performer. High Performers earn high customer satisfaction scores with a smaller market presence than Leaders. Overall, BambooHR earned the highest customer satisfaction score.
Across all Core HR products, reviewers reported the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 80%, and on average reviewers said they were 78% likely to recommend the product they use.
Some highlights from the Core HR software reviews on G2 Crowd:
"For the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks, the ability to apportion wages to multiple tax jurisdictions and withhold required taxes on a single check has been key. UltiPro does a great job keeping the tax calculations in the system complaint and maintaining the special tax rules applicable to sports teams. UltiPro delivers numerous standard reports that assist us in the tax review process and the reporting capabilities in BI make it easy to create any report we could want or need."
- Sheila Yammer, Director, Payroll Services at Phoenix Suns
"[It is] simple and easy to use [PeopleSoft]. Users found it very comfortable to use, and...training newcomers on the product [is] easy."
- Sanjay Bhasin, Chief Human Resources Officer at Sagitec Solutions
"It's really easy to navigate through [Workday's] menus, and it definitely makes a manager's job easy when it comes to finding [information] about your teams."
- Alejandro Cabral, Latin America SMB & Commercial Sales Manager at VMware
"[BambooHR's] intuitive interface is very easy to learn from the administrative side. It is...very easy to deploy to computer savvy users and those that are learning. The development team listens and sometimes it seems the tweaks and improvements...they make are perfectly timed with our needs. Responsiveness from [the support team] is consistently reliable and prompt."
- Darren Stinson, Senior Vice President of Operations at Ideal Aerosmith Inc.
Of the 28 software vendors listed in G2 Crowd's Core HR category, the six ranked products each received 10 or more ratings and reviews to qualify for inclusion on the Grid(SM). Satisfaction rankings are generated from the user reviews, and market presence is calculated from vendor size, market share, and social impact. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
