AT&T Amps Up MLS Fan Fest Week By Hosting Free Events In Portland Leading Up To 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game, and the company is hosting five free events in Portland next week leading up to the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Aug. 6 at Providence Park in Portland. The following events are free and open to the public:

Sunday, August 3

    --  5:30 p.m. PT (doors open at 2:30 p.m.)Free Concert with the Flaming Lips
        Presented by AT&T and Samsung Galaxy S® 5 Active(TM), the Flaming Lips
        will perform a free concert at Waterfront Park. Radiation City will open
        for The Flaming Lips and perform at 4:30 p.m.


    --  2:00-4:30 p.m. PTExperiential Activation - Waterfront ParkAT&T will be
        on-site at Waterfront Park for MLS Experience presented by AT&T. AT&T's
        footprint will include soccer interactive elements, AT&T products and
        the "It Can Wait" Chair Simulator, encouraging fans to take the pledge
        to not text and drive.

Tuesday, August 5

    --  4:30-6:00 p.m. PTAutograph Signing with Portland midfielder Darlington
        NagbePortland midfielder Darlington Nagbe will join fans at the AT&T*
        retail store at City Center (734 SW 3rd Ave. City Center). Soccer fans
        will have the opportunity to meet Darlington during a public autograph
        session.


    --  8:45 p.m. PT (doors open at approximately 5:45 p.m.) Free Concert with
        Cold War Kids Presented by AT&T and MLS, Cold War Kids will perform a
        free concert at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Additionally, Cold War Kids'
        Nathan Willett will be performing the National Anthem at the game on
        Wednesday.

August 2-6

    --  Noon-9:00 p.m. PT (each day)Experiential Activation - Pioneer Courthouse
        Square AT&T will have a booth at the MLS Experience at Pioneer
        Courthouse Square with interactive activities, including the "It Can
        Wait" Driving Simulator. Aspiring to create a social stigma around this
        dangerous habit of texting while driving, AT&T representatives will
        encourage attendees to get involved, spread the word and take the pledge
        to never text and drive.

The 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game is scheduled for Aug. 6 at Providence Park in Portland, Ore. This year's match will feature the MLS All-Star Team against reigning Bundesliga (Germany) champions, FC Bayern Munich. The match will be broadcast live to a nationwide audience in both English and Spanish on ESPN2 and UniMas at 6:30 p.m. PT.
