ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MichBio, the association for Michigan’s biosciences industry, will welcome hundreds of bioscience professionals and service providers to its 10th Annual Expo & Conference on September 30 and October 1 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, MI. The event, co-hosted by Wayne State University, is the largest annual gathering of Michigan bioscience industry professionals.
The theme of this two-day event is “Regulating Innovation: Advancing Access to Healthcare” and features a keynote address by U.S. FDA Commissioner Margaret A. Hamburg, MD on October 1.
As FDA Commissioner, Hamburg advances regulatory science, medical product innovation, and agency globalization, and oversees the implementation of laws to curb the use of tobacco and enhance food safety. Appointed by President Obama in 2009, Hamburg is the second woman to serve as commissioner.
