The companies featured in the 2014 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2010 through 2013. To be included on the list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2010 and they must have been based in the United States, privately held, for profit and independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) as of December 31, 2013. Companies must have generated minimum revenues of $100,000 in 2010 and $2 million in 2013. Final selection of the Inc. 5000 companies takes place after extensive screening and interviews by reporters and writers for Inc.com.
