CENTENNIAL, Colo., Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AdamWorks today announced that the company will unveil new and innovative airborne solutions at the upcoming Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) EXPO and the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) in Anaheim, California, September 15-18, 2014. The popularity of the APEX event reflects airline passengers' strong interest in staying connected for business, entertainment, and social needs.
AdamWorks has designed and manufactured innovative improvements to current airborne wifi radome systems. The AdamWorks Radome System is a dual-band product offered at a very competitive price point. The Radome System also meets the new and more stringent FAA birdstrike events, and the advanced aerodynamic shape saves fuel. Additionally, AdamWorks has advanced manufacturing capacity and responsive customer service.
Carbon Fiber Adapter Plate
The modular satellite connectivity package being introduced includes an adapter plate for attaching an antenna to the aircraft. AdamWorks is introducing a Carbon Fiber Adapter Plate, ARINC791-compliant, that dramatically simplifies radome installation, reduces downtime, and has a 70% weight savings over an aluminum alternative. AdamWorks has a patent pending for the Carbon Fiber Adapter Plate.
"AdamWorks is looking forward to introducing our new and innovative airborne solutions at APEX," said Kim Madigan, AdamWorks CEO. "Our lightweight Carbon Fiber Adapter Plate features many advantages over traditional plates, and pays for itself in fuel savings. The AdamWorks Radome System and fairing both highlight the improvements we bring to aviation with innovative carbon fiber construction and assembly."
