MindTouch, the leading provider of appliance-based Intranet wiki solutions for the small- to medium-sized business (SMB) market, today announced it is recruiting authorized reseller partners to market, distribute and support its MindTouch Managed Office Server (MOS) solution.
Existing Intranet solutions for SMBs are either cost prohibitive or cumbersome to implement and support, leaving businesses without a secure central place to easily manage notes, documents and media. MindTouch addresses this problem with a product that can be deployed in minutes, enabling businesses to be immediately productive.
MindTouch provides the MOS exclusively through resellers, and its inaugural partnership program is designed to maximize sales and deliver higher value to its customers. Resellers can drive their bottom line by receiving upfront revenue for the initial hardware and installation, and through continuous shared revenue from the managed service contract. For example, if a reseller deploys 50 solutions, the bottom-line profit can range between $75,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on the configuration.
"We understand the trust our customers place in the hands of their resellers, and that is why we are tapping into the fastest-growing market solely through our channel partners," said Mark Kurtz, VP of marketing, sales and channel development at MindTouch, Inc. "Our innovative and attractive program will provide a solid stream of revenue for partners locally and nationwide. MindTouch offers a simple, secure and easy-to-use solution, meeting the increasing need of SMBs to deploy new technologies and enhance employee productivity."
The program also provides participants with valuable sales and marketing tools through a new and exclusive online partner portal, numerous lead generation programs, in-person training sessions, online product and service demonstrations, and conference calls.
"We are impressed with the MindTouch technology and its channel business model," said Dr. Thomas Niccum, CEO at Lancet Software. "Our expertise is providing business intelligence solutions, and we find MOS' functionality valuable to our customers that span a variety of industries."
According to industry analysis, SMBs will turn to local and regional consulting firms and value-added resellers (VARs) for their managed services needs.
In addition, the SMB IT spending outlook for 2006 is positive, with IT budgets expected to increase by 7.2%, up from 4.8% going into 2005. The top IT initiatives for 2006 include upgrading applications, which will contribute to server spending; upgrading the security environment; and Internet and eCommerce activities. The research also finds that the strong budget increase combined with the top priorities for IT will further manifest through increases in spending on the major hardware categories of PCs (55% of companies), networking equipment (51%), servers (48%) and storage (45%). For software, 50% will increase spending on security and 42% on Web applications.(1)
MindTouch will also host local events for channel partners. Further information is available at www.mindtouch.com/events.
