HAWTHORNE, CA--- OSI Systems Awarded $4.4 Million Order for TSA’s Advanced Technology Program |

OSI Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:OSIS), a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the security and healthcare industries, announced today that its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, has been awarded a follow on order for $4.4 million from the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for its 620DV Advanced Technology X-ray systems. The order was placed under the company’s previously announced Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with the TSA that included follow on options of up to $97 million.
The order will be used to fulfill the deployment of Advanced Technology (AT) Passenger Carry-On Bag Screening Systems at select U.S. airport locations.
Rapiscan Systems President Ajay Mehra stated, “We are committed to supporting the TSA’s efforts to deploy advanced technology systems at hundreds of airport checkpoints by year’s end. Under the terms of the program we will provide production, field service and program management support to the U.S. government.”
