SAN FRANCISCO--- EnterpriseDB Raises $10 Million in Series C Financing |

EnterpriseDB announced that it has closed a $10 million round of Series C venture capital financing. The investors included Charles River Ventures, Fidelity Ventures, Valhalla Partners and IBM (NYSE: IBM). To date, EnterpriseDB has raised a total of $37.5 million. The new funds will be used to continue development of the company's award-winning PostgreSQL-based databases.
EnterpriseDB is the world's leading provider of enterprise-class products and services based on PostgreSQL, the world's most advanced open source database. The company's Postgres Plus products are lightning-fast, massively scalable, and extremely reliable, making them ideal for high-volume, mission-critical applications.
Today's announcement builds upon EnterpriseDB's existing partnership with IBM, which includes the recent release of EnterpriseDB Advanced Server 8.2 for Linux on IBM System z mainframes, as well as the availability of EnterpriseDB Advanced Server for AIX on IBM System p servers.
