Gravity Storm Software LLC, the market leading provider of security patch management solutions, today announced it has appointed sales and marketing executive Lawrence Brown as its Director of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Brown has more than 13 years experience in software sales and marketing, 8 of them in sales and marketing of security software products, including executive management positions with Websense, Akonix and Corvigo.
Mr. Brown's most recent senior management position was Director of Sales for Corvigo, Inc., responsible for directing sales for southwestern US of Linux based email security appliance. Corvigo was purchased this year by Tumbleweed Communications. Prior to Corvigo he served as Sales Executive at Akonix, Inc., responsible Western US sales for Instant Messaging security and enterprise software solution. From 1997 to 2002 he was Western US Sales Manager, National Telesales Manager and Western US Channel Manager for Websense (Nasdaq: WBSN), the leading Employee Internet Management Software in the world.
