Jameco Electronics, a full-service electronics components distributor, has appointed Greg Harris its new vice president of marketing. In this capacity, Harris will be responsible for all demand generation and product marketing for Jameco's growing line of cost-effective electronic components.
Harris has more than 20 years experience in the direct marketing industry. During the last 10 years he has specialized in building e-commerce web sites for selling complex technology products.
"Greg is an experienced direct marketer who has successfully helped companies build their e-commerce capabilities," said Bob Croshaw, President of Jameco. "Greg's dedication to customer-driven marketing has already been recognized by Jameco's loyal customer base."

Before joining Jameco, Harris was the chief marketing officer of e4e, Inc., a global outsourcing company that was named one of the fastest growing companies in America for 2007 by "Inc. Magazine."
Prior to that position, Harris had senior management positions at Cornerstone Peripherals Technology, Inc.; Adaptec; Hyundai Electronics and Hewlett-Packard.
Harris received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his master's of business administration from the University of Southern California.
