BEND, OR--(Marketwire - February 15, 2013) - Cv International (http://cvintl.com/ [2]) announced today the award of a United States Air Force contract valued at $1.4M to manufacture and install 28 Radar Array Servicing Systems throughout the Great Northern Territory, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
The Cvi Servicing System is a custom designed and engineered solution for maintenance access to the Air Force AN/FPS-117 Radar Fleet. The delivered Servicing System will directly support a major upgrade to the radar sites managed by Lockheed Martin.
The Radar Array Servicing System was designed to meet or exceed ANSI and OSHA standards. A very unique PowerPole Reechcraft product allows the Cvi maintenance platform to scale up & down the face of the AN/FPS-117 Radar. Cvi incorporates a unique aluminum and steel fabrication approach enhancing a modular, lightweight, ergonomically advanced, yet durable and sturdy maintenance servicing platform.
The Air Force AN/FPS-117 Servicing System design & fabrication leverages Cvi's background in supplying innovative maintenance platforms to the aviation and wind power industries.
