Bob McDonald, a senior business development manager specializing in wireless infrastructure, has been hired by RF Comsites as Vice President of Business Development.

RF Comsites president Jim Righeimer called McDonald “a pioneer in the in-building wireless industry.”

“His industry knowledge is key to growing our share of this billion dollar industry,” Righeimer said. “What started as just deploying systems to make cell phones work in public venues – such as airports, hotels and train stations – has grown to where corporate America is having systems installed in their buildings to make sure Treos and Blackberrys work everywhere they have employees and customers.”

McDonald is a telecommunications industry veteran who spent the last nine years in the wireless/mobility space. During that time, he developed productive strategic relationships between top-tier wireless service providers, wireless infrastructure and device OEMs, and systems integrators delivering in-building wireless solutions to their service provider and enterprise clients.

McDonald has held senior management positions in sales and business development in companies such as Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI), Alcatel, Octel Communications and Johnson Controls.
