Suzanne Collins, Senior Director of Clinical Innovation at Trifecta,
Named Interim General Manager of Asia Training Consortium
The Asia Training Consortium (ATC), is pleased to announce Suzanne Collins has been named interim General Manager of the ATC. Collins is Trifecta Clinical’s Senior Director of Clinical Innovation.
The ATC is a group of pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations and regional associations that collaborates to share resources and deliver quality training courses for the development of clinical research professionals in the Asia Pacific region.
“As interest in the ATC continues to grow, the need to standardize our processes and operations have become a high priority. To prepare for a busy 2014, the Board of Directors has decided to appoint an interim general manager to lead these efforts,” said John Constantine, Chairman of ATC’s Board of Directors and Executive Director of Merck Polytechnic Institute. “Ms. Collins will be responsible for leading the definition of processes for service delivery, the planning and execution of operational and marketing initiatives, and expanding our content development efforts and course offerings.”
Collins is Trifecta Clinical’s Senior Director of Clinical Innovation. Previously, she worked as an associate director and lead study manager at Pfizer for ten years. At Trifecta, she has spent the last three years overseeing day-to-day operations and providing strategic input for the delivery of both in-person and online investigator training.
“We’re thrilled to be increasing our support to the ATC by lending Suzanne’s experience in the industry,” says Trifecta Clinical CEO Dave Young. “The experience we have internally with online training complements the strong industry partners who make up the ATC.”
The need for additional qualified personnel in medical research continues to grow at a rapid pace. In China alone, the number of clinical research associates (professionals who ensure protocols and good clinical practices are followed in clinical trials) must double every two years to meet demand.
