“EHNAC HNAP accreditation remains the gold standard for verifying trusted data exchange in healthcare,” said Michael Whelan, vice president of operations, RelayHealth Financial. “It ensures the hospitals and health systems we serve that we’re committed to industry best practices for secure transactions. RelayHealth Financial’s history of maintaining EHNAC and other vital accreditations underscores our diligent dedication to security and quality. Our goal with these accreditations is to not only meet, but exceed the standards, and continually raise the bar on behalf of our customers.”

Through the consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated RelayHealth Financial in 119 areas of privacy and confidentiality measures, systems availability and security infrastructure, and business practices and resources. EHNAC also reviewed RelayHealth Financial’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the company meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards.

“In today’s environment of heightened regulatory concerns, healthcare technology companies must take extra steps to assure their stakeholders and customers that they’re adhering to the latest standards in privacy, security, and confidentiality,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “We applaud RelayHealth Financial for their long history of demonstrating excellence and responsibility to ensure the security and privacy of health data processing and transactions for their customers.”
